I would dearly love for Jojo to bring out a 5 1/2 hour instructional DVD on this kind of intesnse breakbeat drum and bass playing...
I'd lap it up...

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Thos are some true words...The clips on drummerworld with his clinics are very entertaining. What a great guy. I love his set-up: Even to the point where I like how he angles his toms and cymbals. Has anyone played his signature Ride? What a great design.Originally posted by Groovemeister:

JoJo had a lot to do with the SHT album; wrote a fair amount of the material if I remember the liner notes correctly.
One of my favorite albums ever.
Hi Guys,
Yeah, Jojo, what a great musician !!!
He's a very sweet Guy too...
Very clever.
Hey Chris, I know what you mean about compare the Torsos in studio with Jojo and the Live with Gene.
But it's two drum approach very different and believe me if you have any chance to see the Torsos live with Gene you will be really not disapointed, even if your drum sensibility is more in the Jojo's approach...
Peace.

Sheesh...The ending of that is insane. Poor snare is getting beaten to a pulp.

I didn't say anything about who the

include Jo-Jo as one of them.

Jojo and Gene are also tearin' it up on Matthew Garrison's new CD/DVD. Jojo's single bass technique is amazing. I remember seeing him at PAS back in 96 I think. He demonstrated that heel/toe thing that Smith and Gadd do to a level I have not ever seen! Not only that, but he used it very musically! I also heard that he is an actual magician as well. Prob. explains all of those cool tricks! BTW, I was just playing arond on that Torsos groove "Word to Herb". That freaking thing is tough to play at that speed as consistently as he does! Jojo's da man! I wonder why he isn't with the Torsos anymore? I do really dig Gene Lake though!
Hey Guys,
Yes Terry, Joe Zawinul told me that Jojo is a magician WORLD CLASS !!!
I think that one the reason why Jojo is not with the Torsos anymore it's because him and the singer are not so friend...
But he still playing with David "Fuze" time to time...
Peace.
